Alia Bhatt was born on March 15, 1993 and is an actress and singer of Indian origin and British citizenship, who works in Hindi films. Recipient of several awards, including two Filmfare Awards, Bhatt is one of the highest paid actresses in India. Ali Bhatt was born in Mumbai by Indian director Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan. His father is of Gujarati origin and his mother is of Kashmiri and German origin. Director Nanabhai Bhatt is her paternal grandfather. She has an older sister, Shaheen (born 1988) and two half-siblings, Pooja Bhatt and Rahul Bhatt. Actor Emraan Hashmi and director Mohit Suri are his maternal cousins, while producer Mukesh Bhatt is his uncle. Bhatt was educated at Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai. She is a British citizen.
