Deepa Sannidhi born Rahasya is an Indian actress who appears mainly in Kannada’s films. She made her debut in the movie Saarathi in 2011.
Rahasya was born in the Chikkamagalur district of Karnataka to Kannadiga’s parents. His father Shashidhar owns coffee and his mother Nanda is a housewife. She graduated from Bangalore and is a former student of St. Aloysius College in Mangalore.
Deepa Sannidhi was in her first year in architectural engineering when she received a film offer for Saarathi and dropped out of school to pursue a film career. She also has previous modeling experience and has completed a one-year course in jewelry design. During her acting career, Deepa simultaneously obtained a degree in English Literature through distance education.
She participated in the hearing tests conducted by the Saarathi team and was chosen to play her main role after undergoing two sets of tests. During the filming for Saarathi, she signed her second film, Paramathma, directed by Yograj Bhat, which was released one week after Saarathi. Paramathma has also become a successful business. Deepa was selected as a promising new woman for Saarathi and Paramathma at the Bangalore Times Film Awards 2011. Her only release in 2012 was Jaanu de Preetham Gubbi. Rediff in his review called it “Deepa Sannidhi’s film all the way”.
In 2014, she was seen for the first time in Endendu Ninagagi under the name of Soumya, “a very daring girl, in the face, today”. She said the role was “pretty difficult because it’s not me” but she loved to play. In 2015, she made her Tamil cinema debut in Enakkul Oruvan, a remake of the film Kannada Lucia, in which she will play the character of Shruthi Hariharan in the original. Even before her Tamil debut, she signed her next Tamil film, Yatchan of Vishnuvardhan.
